Artwork Specification
Saving & Exporting Your Artwork
All quotations and prices assume the provision of print ready artwork, our studio can help you to produce artwork but this would be at an expence above the quoted prices.
File Formats
We strongly prefer artworks to be supplied in PDF format, though we also accept EPS, AI, TIFF and JPG/JPEG.
Bleed & Crop Marks
When exporting your print-ready file, make sure you include your previously added bleed (50mm) as well as crop marks. These will ensure the cut position of your design is correct. With flags it is important to keep your design clear of the edge as 30mm will be lost in the hems all round.
Design Separation
Each design should be either a separate file (preferred), or a separate page within a PDF.
File Naming
Each design/file should be named to include the width and height of the design, as well as a brief description, such as:
3m x 1m - Custom Flag.pdf
If you have an order that contains multiple designs at the same size, please also include the quantity required of each design in the filename:
3m x 1m - Custom Flag x 5.pdf
Check It
Once you have exported your print-ready file, we strongly advise opening and checking it yourself before sending it to us. We do not provide proofs for customer originated artwork, so any hidden issues in the supplied artwork will likely not be picked up by us.
All artwork provided by our studio will be subject to proof approval before manufacture.
By checking the file, you'll be able to quickly recognise any errors and rectify them before uploading the file to us. Please note, if we receive artwork containing any issues or problems, this can delay your dispatch date. We can not take responsibility for studio errors when the artwork has been provided by the customer.
Uploading Artwork
Once you have placed your order online with us, you will be prompted to upload your files through our upload service. If you have placed your order via email you may use our website to upload your artwork or any of the commercial file transfer sites we transfer, big file etc.
Time Scale
Once an order has been placed and artwork approved, it typically takes 2 weeks for delivery. However, it can take longer, and of course large orders take longer. If you have a deadline date please advise when placing the order. If you need your flags in a hurry then please use our flag express service.
