Historical Information

Adopted on October 4, 2006, The current national flag of Lesotho, features horizontal stripes. Blue representing the sky or rain,  white representing peace, and green representing prosperity. With a black Basotho hat  (mokorotlo) in the centre. Introduced to honour the 40th anniversary of independence, is intended to reflect a peaceful orientation for the country.
